Default Help!

I'm rebuilding a 94' LT1 and I've got 'er all torn down to the block. I'm new to the rebuilding scene (first one) and dont really know where to go from here. I know I have to go to it all cleaned up and it better to have it professionally done, but what else do I need done before I start the rebuild? Do I just tell the machine shop guy to recondition the block or what? Note: I dont plan on going to a 383. Thanx, any and all help would be appreciated

take a look at the sticky on top of the LT1 section. Link to big article on rebuilding LT1 engines.

If all your realy doing is an over haul freeze plugs, honing(if necesary), check the deck, rings, and bearings. If there was a problem in the bottom end you may want to line bore the mains.
