Check out some good rotating assembly kits. preferably forged stuff.

Im assuming that an lt1 has the normal sbc crank and etc.(never pulled one apart im kinda new with these lt-1's), but heres a couple. They have some for a lot of different boring and stroking situations. They should be able to handle the power and the rest is all in your heads, cam, etc.

Oh gotcha. Well I found these for the Lt1 from Lunati. Not cheap though.

Here's another website that has a forged assembly for a better price. Scroll through until you find the SB chevy 1 pc. rear main seal kits. Most of the ones I'm finding are for stroker motors though. they do have one on this site available in std., and oversizes though for 1500 bucks.

I think you mean the crank right? The cam doesnt com in this kit. But internal balancing will make everything balanced in the motor. it reduces wear and may help you pull some more ponies out of her possibly. If you want to find a good cam for serious power check out stuff on here and maybe go to compcams.com and fill out a cam recommendation form. They will help you choose one thats right for your application.

i really don't think you need to go with a complete rotating assembly. the power will be made on the top end(heads and cam). i just don't see the need for a 383 in this case and i just can't justify him spending the extra 7-800 bucks on a quality crankshaft.

as i stated and was backed up by rob, polish the stock crank, scat forged rods, diamond forged pistons, bore it .030 over. then call and talk to lloyd elliott and get a matching head and cam set to achieve your goals. he will set you straight and you will be happy with the result

yah it would be nice to know your budget. its real easy to pop 6k into a motor. unless you steal one for 2500 like whammer. lol. i think thats what it was anyways. oh and top 5 for me, heads, cam, valve train, pistons and connecting rods.

I mean it sounds like he wants to build a pretty hot motor. He wanted to know about internals to get in order to have a N/a motor that would beat supercharged rides. I mean you're right all of the power is made on the top end but if he wants some serious power for drag racing or something it would be good to have a beefed up bottom end. if he's looking for a quick street strip car then there are cheaper alternative to this.

a 355 makin 410whp is a pretty hot motor. and ive seen many guys runnin that with a LE set up. and if thats not enough put a 150 shot on it and tell me thats not good enough. at 400whp you gotta start worrying bout other stuff like the rear
