OK I need to clear some things up here.
When a O2 goes bad the computor will put the car in "limp' mode. This pretty much defaults to the safest settings in the ECU (is rich, pull timing etc). The car might feel a little down on power but should otherwise run and drive fine. The ECU will also throw a code for a bad O2.

how about an endoscope and check to see if you have any polyps on your exhaust? they may be cancerous if your car is having trouble peeing[>:]
Now that's funny. Now I didn't catch if you had dropped your cats as well or not? And I didn't catch if they're long tube/shorties or midlength? Just a couple of things. Did I miss that? O2 sensors can do all kinds of things. If you have cat's and your O2's are bad you'll get a foul rotten egg smell and that's also an indication of bad cat's. I hope someone corrects me if I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure that's right? Also, at WOT an engine will usually disregard the O2's behind the cat and let the engine run a little rich. I'll see if I can't find where I got that, it may be in one of my "tech magazines."
The sensors behind the cat, only monitor performance of the cat. They don't have anything to do with the fuel trims. The ones in the headers or exhaust manifolds are the ones that adjust fuel trims.

altho at WOT those o2's are generally ignored i believe. they cannot keep up with the changing conditions. not only that but engines usually command lower afr at high rpm than the o2's are designed to read. narrowbands are only accurate at 14.7 afr

If your car won't go past 20 mph and it hesitates and backfires you have a much larger problem than bad O2 sensors. Make sure you have all of your plug wires installed correctly and that your new headers haven't melted through the wires or the boots.

Well my question for you is what does a Lean Bank 2 and MAF code even amount to? If there are set codes for the o2 and neither of those are it what do they mean?

Bank 2 lean could be a injector, could also be the front O2. The MAF code is saying somthing is wrong with your mass air flow sensor. My guess is that the MAF is bad and the car is running in limp mode. You should be able to unplug the MAF and the car will still run and drive, it will be down on power and might not idle very well, but it should still run.

Okay, so you're telling me that if your cats are bad and your rear O2 sensors are reading funny it's not going to try to compensate for that? I believe this is the second time you've said that? If that's the case then howcome when you gut the cat's you'll get a code saying the rear O2's are rich and it'll lean out your engine? Been there, done that got the mother******* t-shirt.

Never had a car run after unpluging the MAF? And on that note, you can pull youre sensors off one by one (replacing them after each time) and when you get to the sensor that doesn't make the engine run any different then that's your problem. Also, if you think it's a certain cylender then you can unplug the sparkplug wire and if the noise goes away you have it. Learned that at hipo shop, neat what you can learn around people building 1400+ hp engines....

When you gut the cat it is seeing "uncleaned" exhaust. This means your cat isn't working. That's why it throws a code.
