Headers for a 95 Z
im looking to get headers for my Z and im not sure who to buy from, what all is necessary that i need for the build, and whats the main difference between long and short tube headers.
Thank you.
Thank you.
shorty headers are a performance stock exhaust manifold replacement. they flow a little better than stock. long tubes are a performance replacement for the exhaust manifold and header pipe. at least part of it, the y pipe for the 4th gen is the other part of the header pipe and is required to install your long tube headers. long tube headers flow considerably better than stock and react quite well to other mods like cold air intake, cam, head and intake work.
do some reading on here. lots of good info on what to do and where to go. check out the build threads in the stickies at the top of the page in 4th gen section. heres a couple places to look at.

Long tubes are the way to go, unless emissions are very strict. I bought my headers from this company and their service was excellent. Price is very good as well. $369.99 for ceramic coated LT's is the cheapest that I've seen.

do you think anyone might have a picture or picture documentation of headers on an LT1 from under and top? im planning on doing this myself since my shop is estimating $1600 and id rather do something big on my car for once
