Default RE: header ?

ORIGINAL: SpecterGT260

i suppose.... I can put my full fist onto each of my spark plugs and header bolts now that i have the tubes in. the manifolds were a complete biatch though.....
Also consider the exhaust ports on the LSX series are configured like a BBC not a traditional SBC, so you're going to have more room in there from that as well. Some of my spark plugs got easier with headers, some of them still stayed hard, although I'm pretty sure I can do all of them from the top now. Changing the oil got interesting as well....

well all in general you have your good things and bad things about headers. no matter what ,to get your car to perform good that has to be one of the first thing to install. but if it makes it a little bit easier to change spark plugs i will take it. better than manifolds.

Overall I have good things to say about headers because of the power increase. That said, purchase something that you install once and never have to touch again unless you're taking the heads off. It's fine once they're on, but getting them there is a little tough. Changing the plugs in our cars is always tough and with headers removing the oil filter gets a little sketchy, but overall it's not that bad.

How many people went ahead and ran dual exhaust when they installed there headers? because I wanted to run headers along with exhaust. but i want to not loose to much for ground clearance because 4th gens dont have much as it is

weeda...its doable but you will lose some ground clearance. i'd pick a nice catback and go with that...top choices would probably be GMMG, corsa, borla, magnaflow, etc.

"Nasty" in a good way or "nasty" in a bad way?

True duals with a crossover generally sound pretty similar to a Y-pipe setup anyway.

good way, haha. if it were me i'd go with a catback and if funds allowed it it'd be GMMG the whole way with no looking back
