RE: Gear questions
well you may get in the 13s but remember the more you change the gearing you will need better tires eventually to get traction.i beat my friend with 4.11 gears and i have the stock gearing because i got off the line so much quicker.. so remember tires are everything!

It is also the efficiency of your suspension. It needs to be able to have the weight transfer to the rear without axle wrap. I got lakewood slapper bars. I am going to upgrade to a Competition Engineering Slide Link Traction bars.

RE: Gear questions
Alright so I have a 1994 z28 6 speed I put headers with 3 inch dumps on it and i ordered a custom grind cam from comp cams I put the cam in the other day and i wanted to hear how it would sound so i just put the stock throttle body and air intake system back but i took it out on the road tonight and i couldent get traction till the top of 3rd and i have the stock 3.42s (i believe that is the stock gearing?) in it, would the 4.10s be too much because i still have to choose a 52 or 58mm throttle body, put on the cold air intake, ignition box what not, bigger injectors, tune it, blah blah and thats gonna equal more power
thanks

RE: Gear questions
stock without the gu5 option was 2:83, with the performance axle gu5 option, it was 3:23 it is better to get a higher ratio if you have the stock axle ratio but the most to go with is maybe a 3:83 at most, especially if you want to do alot of highway driving. also if you do this then you have to program the computer to get the car to run right!
