Default Few questions for LT1 owners....

I sold my 3rd gen last week and I am looking into getting a Z28/TA powered by a LT1 and has a 6-speed (no automatics).

Is there any problems I should be looking for in particular on these cars? Electronics, drivetrain etc...?

No worse or better than other cars, just depends how well maintained. The exception being the optispark distributor which hates to get wet and dies.

Its good to see fellow Floridians....

Chas, since you are in the area, why not pickup a Autotrader and take a look at the car I'm going to be looking at this week..

It is a 1996 Z28 M6 131k exhaust, stereo, tint. Pretty clean by the pics...

Hey, my 3rd gen was in very good shape, but it was from Ohio so their was rust everywhere on it. Even the newer paint showed signs of rust. Keep looking jerywalker, I would buy another third if it wasnt for the T5's reputation. The T56's in the TB area seem to last whenever I ask 4th gen owners about it.

If ya get the car come and take a look at my 97 SS Z-28 , i got it last week! It has 67,000 miles looks like new inside and out.

The car has a body kit, after market hood, and 18" rims, only problem is has both rear and main seal leaks, i knew this before buying it!

It was a dealer i got it from, they said nothing about the leaks.

I'm glad i smelled burning oil and took a peak under the car!
