Hey guys just recently my fans started staying on. I haven't done any mods. Just noticed it yesterday. They are on any time the car is running and it wasn't doing it before. It's great in traffic cause my car stays right at 180 all the time now. But i worry about burning up my fan motors and don't like the noise. Anyone else had this happen? If so what's the fix?

Does your car have a/c? When the a/c is on, the fan will run. Or, if you have the heat controls in the defrost position, the a/c runs to pull humidity out of the car, and the fan will run also.

No light. If your cooling fans run all the time and your a/c clutches won't engage it's prob this sensor. The mechanic charged me 41.50 for the sensor, but you can get it through rockauto.com for 30. I'm just guessing but you might be able to disconnect the sensor and see if the fans turn off and the a/c engages?
The mechanic told me the sensor was telling the pcm that the engine was running hot so the fans would come on as soon as i started the car. So i figure if the sensor is disconnected and not sending any kind of signal maybe that would be able to isolate the prob. Unfortunately i didn't get a chance to try it.
