Default Exhaust Help

Hey guys, I'm currently looking to update my stock exhaust system on my '95 Z28 and I was wondering if you could offer any recommendations. I was currently looking at Magnaflow or Flowmaster but am not sure if one is better than the other or if they are pretty equal.
Also, can the stock manual transmission handle a new exhaust system? Any advice would be much appreciated, thanks guys.

what do you mean handle? if you mean power wise, then ABSOLUTELY. the 6 speed is pretty strong

magnaflow is the route i'd go. or you can fork over a lot more money and go with borla, corsa, or GMMG

I ran the Magnaflow first with stock exhaust manifolds and now with long tube headers and off road y

It's good quality and sounds good.

On the V8's, the SLP Loudmouth II's get my vote.

I had the magnaflow for my first exhaust. It was running with stock manifolds and stock Y pipe. It has more bass in the sound, as opposed to the exhaust I have now. Which is the Loudmouth I It is a little raspier and louder.

The Magnaflow is not that loud. I mean you can hear it in the car, but it isn't ...your neighbors turn their heads and give you dirty looks loud.

Plus the Magnaflow and the Loudmouth I and II are about the same price. Around 400 dollars. That isn't too bad for a CAT back system.

The new camaros are like 500 for an axle back !

Those are good exhaust systems, it just depends on what your ears have a taste for.

For those of you that are running Magnaflow exhaust, how do you like the sound? I don't need anything that blows people away right now, but a nice, pleasant rumble would be nice ;-)

Moreover, what sites sell the Loudmouth? The site I found it seemed that you had to buy extra parts to install the Loudmouth on a LT1, is that true? Or is it just a bolt-on? Thanks again.

there's an install kit yes.

www.ls1sounds.com is a good place to go to listen to exhaust clips. make sure you're looking through the LT1's though

The Magnaflow is a quieter exhaust. It doesn't scream. When you drive by, it isn't really loud, you can hear it a little. But it isn't

The Loudmouth I install kit comes with a hanger, and something else Sorry, I forgot. But it's really easy to put on. The extra pieces bolt in place of the stock hangers. So it's pretty much just bolt on. It comes with muffler clamps instead of flanges. It's not too difficult.

LMPerformance.com <-------- that's where I ordered my Loudmouth from. Click on the LT1 section.

Here is the page straight to the exhausts
