what should my 1/4 be???? i have a 94 auto z28. hooker longtubes, cai,comp cam forgot which one, 1.6 rockers, stall not sure which one,3.73. UNTUNED

 

knowing what size cam would belp but if you really dont know and want a rough guess 12.8 get a good tune and probably 12.5-12.3. but lik i said its hard to guess without cam specs and stall size.

 

yeah you listed 2 things that will be huge variables in what your car will run. need some specs on the cam and it would really help to know what size of stall is in the car. and get it tuned...tuning it can really help. i wouldn't even run a cam without tuning it...and you should have tuned it even after the headers. your car really shouldn't be running very well at this point

 

i got the car on a trade...i think its a 2800 street fighter stall. i ran a 13.6. i figured i should ran better

 

yeah i don't have a cam and have 3:42 gears and i think i'd outrun that 13.6

 

im thinkin about getting it dyno tuned this weekend. hopefully that will help me a lot

 

yea thats aweful for a cammed car. wat was the rest of the timeslip lik? 60' and all? i went 13.1 with everything in my sig on street tires with a 2.2 60'

 

Yeah, what's your trap speed?

Tune would help a fair amount I think.

Just cammed without heads you should still be able to see low 13's. Not much better thouugh, since you don't have anything listed traction-wise.

 

my 1/4 mile run was awhile back so i dont have the slip but i do have one for an 1/8 run from this past weekend. 60ft was 2.05 i ran an 8.82 at 80mph

 

8.80 is lik a mid 13 second run in the quarter
