are you planning on the 1/4 mile because HP helps you on the top end.

For around town driving, it's torque that you feel.

Reduce your rotating mass with such things as lightweight driveshaft and lightweight rear wheels.

Dyno'd ! I would guess around 260 RWHP. But I may be off a bit, but we have no idea of the condition of your ride!

really the only power adders i see are headers, catback, and i'm guessing a full k&n cai...i'd guess maybe 275-280rwhp...that's probably a little generous

what are these cars rated at stock, both hp and torque.? and would the alum driveshaft and flywheel do anything to add hp to rear wheels?

the aluminum driveshaft is less weight for the motor to turn witch = bout 2-6wrhp(maybe)..same thing with the flywheel

you want any sort of significant horsepower and you're looking at a cam at least. you could put on 1.6 roller rockers, those are good for about 15rwhp. i'd be thinking about a cam though

waiiit! how can you say that, when all the research I've done states that the LS1 engine generates 312-350 HP when stock?!

Is there a substantial HP loss from the engine to the wheels? I'm kinda car-tarded so please enlighten me.

His car has the LT1 engine, not the LS1, and as for drivetrain loss, yes. You experience more loss with an auto vs a manny. A 300 HP car could put as much as 265WHP with a manny while an auto could be as low as 240 WHP. it varies and depends on the dyno you go to as well.
