Default dyno'd my Z today

I Dyno'd my car today and was very happy with the outcome. I made 384rwhp and 352rwtq.

Kinda tough to see the actual numbers in the pic of the Dyno Sheet, but those are some pretty stout numbers buddy! What are your mods to get those numbers?

Looks like you're making some good numbers and you have good lines there too, list up the mods that you have!

Ok lets see here. . . AFR 180cc heads, CompCams 1.5rr(I went with stock ratio for strength and RPM the cam made enough lift alone so I felt a 1.5 would be much safer seeing as with a 1.6 ratio the would have been around 593 and the AFR springs are known to float aroind 600), CompCams push rods, TPIS roller lifters,TPIS cam 550/550 lift 112LSA 240/240DUR, Cloyes timing set, Pacesetter LT's and OFY with STOCK exhaust, and ahand ported throttle body, de-screen'd MAF and K&N CAI.

So it seems like most people just use the stock bottom end when they to an LT1 or LS1 build- is there anything that needs to be improved on the bottom end?

both motors hold up well to NA builds.


if u do any worthwhile FI u will want to redo at least pistons to lower compression.

Yeah it is a very big cam for an LT1. The AFR heads are awesome, I think with out them this setup would have been average at best but in my eye's the AFR's are what really made this an awesome street machine.

AFR knows what they're doing with their heads. Running .600 lift on any SBC you're going to have issues, it's not just with AFR heads, that's a lot of lift for any SBC.

M*******, the main issue with the bottom end is the LT1 has a tendancy to throw bearings at high RPM's, but other than that it's a good bottom end for any N/A build, especially because it has a good high compression ratio stock. You can actually push it to around 11 or 11.5:1 on pump gas.
