Default Droping the motor...what to buy

Okay so im going to get the motor out and have my heads and intake ported and a different cam. I have almost 120k miles should i re do the lower end while im at it? And if so what do you guys recommend for all of that? The money isnt really in the budget but i could save a little more in order to get it. Thanks

what was your oil pressure at operating temp? compression test should give you some indicators as to the condition of your rings.

You could develop a ring blow-by condition after tightening up the heads, as the rings would now become the weak link in holding cylinder pressure.

stock bottom end is good to 400 to 450 hp so long as your not using nos or forced air.
