Default Driver Side Window Motor Dead?

Well, for a while now my driver side window has been going up slow. From time to time, it has gone up half way and stopped, then 5 minutes later I could put it up the full way. Today, I put the window down and it won't come back up. Now when i hold the switch in the up position, I hear a high pitched sound from under my dash near the center console (below Stereo). I looked and it appeared to be coming from this round disc-like thing behind the center console. Is the motor just not getting power or is it probably dead, and is the noise significant. Also note my passenger side window works just fine. The car is a 94' Camaro 3.4L V6 version. Lastly, is there any way to pull the window up and keep it up temporarily, because it seems to be locked in place.

It definitely does sound like a window motor. I can't help ya with the high-pitched noises you're hearing. Sorry, man.

I had the exact same problem. At first it was just slow and it would stop, then a little while later it would go up. Then it got worse and i would have to shut off my car and turn it back on. Went and got it checked out, some small part of the motor had screwed up.... i can't remember what they said it was, but you have to replace the whole motor neway.
