Differences between a 96 Z28 and the SS

I have a 96 Z28 that was smacked in the front. A guy is selling a stripped down 96 SS rolling chasis for $700 (no title). It has most of the front clip, but not the ram-air hood, and of course no engine or trans. Thinking I can straighten theZ28frame and build it back from the SS chassis in about a day. Butmy son (a 5.0Stangfanatic) says it would be better to build the SSfrom the Z28.
Question is, what are the specific differences between these 2 cars? I know about the increased horse power, rims and ram air hood, but all those are gone from this particular SS. Are there upgrades in the steering, suspension and rear end (about all that's left on this chassis besides the front clip) that would make a swap worth while? Without the original hood and rims, or increased HPseems such a build would be a bastard child, right?Wouldn't it be better to take the suspension(if better) offthe SS and put it on the Z28?
Need to make a decision by this weekend on the SS chassis. Any advice is appreciated!!

Specific differences, mainly the suspension, it was for improved handeling. Other aspects that give it a bit more power over the Z28 was the ram air(not the actual hood/ram air aspect, but the freer flowing intake in general), I also believe they had an SLP cat back system and possibly better flowing manifolds. Needless to say, you can't get the exhaust manifolds anyway, so mainly the suspension and if they cat back system is different, use it too. They also included minor body modifications, like the different rear hatch for the added snazzy-ness of the wing. Everything else is the same, the interior on the SS may be leather if that matters and it probably has SS floor matts...
