Default dead battery problems

I went to start my 94 z28 yesterday and the all I got was klick klick klick. so I charged the battery all day while at work on trickle and it fired right up. but obviously the battery is junk right? but just thought I would check for a draw so I disconnected the negative side and taped the terminal and it sparks, indicating a draw. well also when doing that I could hear a dingy noise like the door was open with the key in the ignition but they weren't and the doors were closed so can anybody help me if they have had a similar problem

i dont know if the test u did is telling of a draw. there are things in the car that come on when the battery is first hooked up and then go off. if u have an amp it will do that. some parts stores and even some shops will test your system for free, probly be the best way to go for u. could try this...
