A Dana 60 can be an extremely strong rear end. Other than having to cut it down and get some custom axles made up, it shouldn't be too much trouble. The off roaders have been cutting down axles for years to make them fit in different applications.

Now, for 50 bucks, you may only be getting a completely useless housing with some buggered up guts. You may end up putting a few hundred into it with gears and a rebuilt carrier (if you do the work yourself, lots more if you take it to a shop) just to get to the point that you are ready to cut it down.

There will be a decent amount of custom fab to do, but it will be doable if you know how to weld. If not, or you are just not sure where to begin, check into some local 4X4 clubs and someone there has done this type of thing before.
