Cut off my exhaust yesterday....
Cut my exhaust off right over the axle. (gonna get something new.) But god D*** that is ridiculous. I can actually tell a difference in power. Is it normal for my car kinda want to die right off take the take off?? and then hall *****? seems like top end has picked up and bottom end is slightly sluggish... is that just the back pressure?

thats exactly what it does, less back pressure so you lose a little tq on the bottom end but gain some hp on the top end. im surprised it was that big of a difference..sounds amazing though dont it??

There's a difference between having a little less torque on the bottom end, and wanting to die right at take off, as you say your car is doing. Sounds more to me like you're now experiencing a momentary off-idle lean condition, and the engine is falling on it's face. With an old school engine, the carburetor can be adjusted to richen up the air/fuel mixture to compensate for the lean fuel condition that freeing up the intake and exhaust flow causes. Newer computerized engines ain't quite as easy to fiddle with.
