It will work...some of the wires for the pcm will need to be re-pinned. I dont know which ones they are right now. I need to talk to my friend Richard, he is great at explaining how that is done. I will try to have a solution for you by Monday.

Yes you can but you are going to have to add sensors and custom wire the PCM. You will need O2 snesors on both manifolds, and you will need to add a MAF. I think the 3.4L has the rest of the needed sensors. The ICU may also need to be changed. I know the coils are the same but I am not sure about the ICU. I will try to find the link I read one day about some one doing this. They also did the 3500 head swap. I cant seem to find it here at work, but with the web filters here are very restrictive.

My bad guys I thought we were in the V6 section...

To correct my post

Yes you can put the 96 computer in the 95 still. You will need the wiring harness both under dash and in engine. Things like the BCM and some of the circuitry on the gauge cluster changed. I dont know how compatable the OBDI cluster is with the OBDII computer. in 95 the BCM, RAP and VATS were all seperate units in 96 they all became part of the BCM. As for the engine, you will still need to add the after cat O2 (or tune it out) and the CKS will need to be added.

no the 95 is obd 1 with obd2 plug, i didnt go to far into it when i was looking into it last yr cause i have the 4l60 and its not compatible with obd2. if it is a lt1 front timing cover will have to be changed and im not sure about harnesses and sensors. obd2 uses different sensors in many places. pcmforless did my od1, they do 94 to 02 on there pcm page.
