i am a newbe so forgive my mistakes if any. i have a 93z (my second)that has been testing my abilities. it seems to be running rich, low power at low rpms and has a rough idle. got all the oil and vac leaks fixed. (i hope) intake, oil pan, timing gear cover seals. changed opti, map, chged intake manifold to a air gap edelbrock, stock one was cracked and the air gap has a clean look and easy to find leaks if they develope. also new plugs and plugwires timing chain and gears and oil pump. i will be changing the lifters to see if thats it with some less costly ones until i can afford a cam kit . i have some noisy lifters and am pretty sure two are bad. i have good oil pressure little over 20 lbs at ltle warmed up. next step?

first off, welcome to the forums.if two of your lifters are bad or stuck you will have some power loss as well as a rough idle.

i also checked for ses codes and only the one to come up was 26. changed sai(smog) pump and have not had a ses sence.

ok thanks i was thinking that but with all i have learned from this forum the last three days i figured i should throw it out there. thanks again from the washington coast.

i agree with you too...know why? we're LT1 buddies! besides, there are like 4 of us that answer LT1 questions...me, ali, you, and slvr...(sorry if i forgot anyone off the top of my head)

thanks guys, pete seems to know everything but dont see to much of him on the lt1. no crabbing today. rain and wind. car is under cover as it should be.

Oh so agree that the Edelbrock set up for LT1's is the shizznit!?!? I knew I liked you for a reason. Alih don't seem to agree with us Wham ol buddy!!
