hey does anyone know if it's possible to drop in a 94 lt1 engine and m6 trans into a 94 v6 body>?
I have a 3.4 v6 and theres someone by me who is selling the same year lt1 engine and 6 speed trans and i want to drop it in

 

I believe it is, but I think there would be a heck of alot more work then you think. Plus you need the computer from the other car,the wiring harness, the manifolds, and probably partially different exhaust. Perhaps more.A word of caution, if you are a novice, an lt1 camaro is definetly not the place to start unless you have experienced help. Iveknown guys who worked on old carssince they were kids, and they were intimidated bythe lt1. Thesecars are way more complicated then the old school 350s, and I think the lt1 is more complicated then the 3.4 V6. If you can't do something or decide you don't want to after being halfways there, to have the dealership do it, the prices are rediculous. Believe me I have went through it. I am not going to tell you not to, but after rebuilding my motor, and putting it in myself, and being a novice, I don't think I would do it again. Good Luck.

ya i was thinking about just switching cars, hey i heard the ls1's are better on gas than the lt1's is that true ?

 

Supposudely an Lt1 with bolts on gets about 20 city/25 highway.With my mods I seen about 15/20. I did have a clogged air/ fuel filter at the time hower, and an LS1says19/28.
