colling fan help
#2
Tests to ensure your fans can turn on:
- You can hook power up directly to the fans to ensure the fan motors work. If this test fails, you need new fans.
- You can test the low speed and high speed fan operation separately. Use a paperclip to jump the connections in the fuse/relay box (under the hood) where fan relay number one (low speed) and two (high speed) are located. Ensure you insert/remove the paperclip when there is no power going to the fuse/relay panel. I can explain further if you need help.
- You can use a paperclip to jump pins A and B on the DLC for a
1993-1994 Camaro and pins 5 and 6 for a 1995 -1997 Camaro. See http://shbox.com/1/dlc1.jpg. Turn on the ignition after the paperclip is inserted, but don't turn the engine on.
- You can remove the secondary air pump fuse in the fuse box and drive around for a while. The SES light and the fans should come on.
