check for juice in the wires that come from the ecm. can u see the color on the diagram? from the ecm to the secondary fan relay is dk blue the one for the primary fan relay is dk green. the wires from the relay to the fans u probly know but are blue for the primary and brown for the secondary fan. if juice is getting coming out of the ecm then its a bad relay. u should get one of these books. its a dealer service manual for a 93 camaro. cost about 30 bucks used on ebay. saved a hundred times that, but ive had two 93's.

Perhaps your temperature coolant sensor is not working. This sensor is responsible for telling your PCM how hot the coolant in the engine is. If the PCM doesn't know the engine is getting hot, it probably won't try to turn your fans on. This sensor is not to be confused with the temperature gauge sender, which provides the temp reading to your temp gauge. The temperature coolant sensor is located on the front, lower right side of your water pump (see picture http://shbox.com/1/temp_sensor1.jpg). Ensure you drain the coolant from your engine, not just your radiator, before you attempt to remove this sensor. If you don't, be ready for a lot of coolant to suddenly shoot out.
Let me know if you resolve this problem. My 94' Camaro Z28 is also overheating because of the fans not turning on, but I suspect a severed wire. Good luck to you.

well I was working on another problem ( I guess she doesnt like to be at the track :P) but I had it idling, and wasn't paying attention to the temp and suddenly the fans kicked on, but the bad part was it was HOT. it got up to like 245/250*. Is there a way to program it to kick on earlyer?? Airn't they suppose to kick on before engine damage? lol. i figured 230 would be hot enough to kick them on, at least thats where I'd like it to be

Yes, I would hope the fans would wake up before the engine caught on fire. Here's some info on the fans you may find helpful. See http://shbox.com/1/4th_gen_tech2.html#cooling
Correction to my last post - I meant to say engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor and not temperature coolant sensor.

With my camaro I see a lot of stop and go traffic plus when i go to the track I have to sit in the line up area for ever. I bought a SLP fan controller and now I never have to worry about it. if the temp ever gets above 180 i can just kick on the fans.

Just one thought...Are you sure the guage is correct? If the fans did come on I wonder if the guage is workin right. Maybe a cheap mech guage used just to see would be worth it. I know I have run into that problem before with the racercars and found out I quit some races too soon!

Well I had my original cluter in there, and it was reading hot. then the circutry went bad and i lost half the gauges, so i replaced with a used OEM one, and it reads exactly the same, but perhapes ur right, it maybe worth my time to go buy a cheap one and see how accurate it really is
