changing thermostat?

my thermostat just starting doing a lil bit of a leak, well thermostat housing, im going to change out the thermostat, do i have to drain the coolant?? if so how much coolant do i put back on it, i've been wanting to do a coolant flush. thanks ya

Shouldn't have to, all that should draine out is just a little from the hose.

thermostat is on, i put some black rtv around the thermostat housing was that good? also if so how long should i wait till i run the engine?

Keep the coolant away from the Optispark, or you will wind up changing that also in a few weeks.

yes Pete i tried as hard as i could, i cover it with a race around the thermostat housing, its been about 4 hours sinces i change it i'm going to give it a start and see if it seal right lol my second thermostat change i was SCARE TO CHANGE IT I KNEW WHAT COULD HAPPEN. OPTICRAP GETTING MEST UP
