car cuts power
my 95 Z28 will cut all power. sometimes it will start right up up again other times you have to wait. I will be going down the road and all power just cuts out. Battery, alternator and starter were all tested good. Anyone have any ideas.
Maybe a bad/shorted ground wire somewhere...check the big 3--
Battery ground to chassis
Battery ground to engine block
Battery positive to alternator (careful - often times it is routed thru the under hood fuse block)
That's my only guess if everything was tested working!

I had the same problem with an older car although it wasn't a camaro. It was a wire problem. My local mechanic had my car almost a month and never found anything. My advice is take it to Chevy, if you can't find it yourself.
Ihave a 95 z28 my cuz had before me an blew his engine (very funny story) so it was sent to jasper an replaced. Then after that i bought the car thinking new engine ready to go but not the case. I can be driving down the road an she will just die mostly when i am accelerating from a stop, but it happens on the highway, where ever it wants pretty much it has its own mind an when it dont wanna go anywhere it dies. I haave replaced everything u could think of an it has been to 3 different shops includeing a chevy dealer an no one can find out the problem. The only thing that wasnt replaced yet is the optispark so thats my idea an just about the only thing left to replace on it. i have had this problem for some time so i went out an bought another camaro 98ss and that was my fix. IF YOU SOLVE THIS PUZZLE LET ME NO A.S.A.P cuz i dont no wat to do.
I had the same problem with my 73 Camaro. Everytime I got to freeway speed 65-70 it would stall out. Pull over and wait 5-10 min. and go for another 5mi. Drove me nuts, new feul pump, kit the carb, change fuel lines. Guy told me to take the fuel line off before the pump and blow air thru it. That blew the clog out of the pick up sock in the tank and the car ran good for quite awhile. Now I know you can't do that with the fuel pump in the tank but there is a sock on the pick-up tube cause I've changed them. You may have to drop the tank and do that. Mite as well do the pump while your at it. Good Luck
