Default Can't figure out where it goes

I have a '95 z which I put a water pump on last night. finishing it up this morning I have come across a plug that I can't find where it goes. It originates from the wiring harness between the battery and the radiator, has two wires, one is black and the other is I believe white or pale yellow with a thin black stripe. The rubber around the plug is lime green.
Anyone know where this goes? I have searched with no luck

Is the temperature sensor on the water pump connected?

Yes Camaro69 sensor is plugged in. Craby would that sensor have sort of a shield around it? I thought that might be where the plug went but was unsuccessful in getting it to fit in there and of course I can't see the sensor itself. Thank you guys for all your help.
