Default can my alway open cutout damage my car?

ok so i had an electric exhaust cut out, the sylonoid (sp?)decided to crap out on me. so it rattled n gave and exhaust leak, well at least it sounded like it , which is a horrible sound. So i got annoyed and just took it of completely. it sounds pretty dam good. nice and deep, not raspy at all(: dam loud though.

can this damage my car in any way? its at the end of my y pipe a little before the muffler (maybe 8-12 inches before the passenger rear wheel). if it matters i have cai, 58mm tb, 58mm ported intake, long tube headers, no cats, n a custom y pipe.

The only damage may be caused by your neighbors getting annoyed at the noise.

nononononononononono,,lol.. the flap that help it shut wasnt holding because the sylonoid wasnt applying pressure..haha..i wasnt asking i about that.. i was asking if basicaly running long tube headers and a y pipe only could damage my car, no muffler, no caats

oooo lol ok. the only thing with headers and no cats nor muffler will have barely any backpressure. only worry. im sure there is still enough. i have a question you might know if you dont mind, my car sounds good, i have high flow cat, and i believe a 80 series crossflow flowmaster, single pipe, but dual exit. it is 3.25 pipe. sounds good but if you rev it to 4000 and let off it sounds like canny i guess. i tunk the muffler and i hear a little rattle. is that why? and should i cut it open and gut the baffles or get rid of muffler totally. or keep muffler and eliminate cat.

the 80 series isnt the best, if u want loud go with slp loud mouth,or for a good muffler go with a magnaflow. borla has great set ups but there pricey. i still have the stock muffler
