Default Brake warning lights

Background. Replaced all four-brake pads/shoes last week. Found a leaky wheel cylinder on the right rear, replaced and bled it. The next day after buying a length of clear hose and reviewing the Haynes manual I bled it again. ABS valve, rear brakes, but could not loosen the front bleeder valves.

I get a "low-trac" light, feel the pedal moving, and hear some clicking from the ABS valve area during semi hard braking. The light goes out after a few seconds. This will happen a few times then the "ABS INOP" light will come on to stay until I turn off the engine.

Any ideas?

Kevin

You may have loosened the ABS sensor cables at the front wheels while you were doing the brake job. Check the connectors on the sensor cables, disconnect them clean them & put them back. If this doesn't fix the problem, you should get the car scanned & see what the exact complaint is, in order to save time & money. You will need an ABS scanner or a Tech2 tool, low priced scan tools do not do ABS.
