Bosch gas pedal accelerator?
Okay so on my driver side valve cover there is a bosch gas pedal accelerator according to what i found when i searched the part number 0205005012. My throttle cable runs through it. What the heck does it do? and do i need it?

Nope, it's the ASR traction control and motor. A lot of people choose to delete it since it looks like crap and most don't see a need for it. You'll need a different throttle cable if you choose to delete it.

It was an option for 4th gens. If you had/have it there would be a button for ASR on your dash.
For the most part when deleting the ASR it also gets rid of the ABS and Cruise I think. Can't be too sure though, try doing some searches on the forum and others.

They are 3 different modules....Traction control is the big ugly thing off your valve cover posted above. Abs is the large mess of lines and wires right next to your intake. Cruise control is hidden down by were a air filter goes on a CAI and is mounted flush with the bottom. To my understanding you can remove them individually. I have ordered a abs delete kit and all i will have left is cruise but if i cant find the proper cable it will also be lost.

See that's what I was saying, most people tend to delete the cruise along with the traction control. Even though they are separate they still have a connection, that being the cables. If you don't find the correct cables for when deleting ASR you lose Cruise control. Alot of people just do away with ABS since it's typically unnecessary on our cars and it simply looks bad and takes up space. Just cleaning up the engine bay is a good enough reason.
