Default Badging on '97 Z28 question

I have my eye on a '97 Z28 with the orange strips. This car has the 30th Anniversary badging on the nose at the Camaro emblem and on each side between the driver and passenger window and the back window. I have only seen this once before except the badging was where it says "Z28" behind the front wheels.
Is this factory or is this just the owner applying extra badging?
I appreciate any help.
Thanks

Sounds like some extra stick ons to me! As far as I know the 30th Anniversary only had the special paint scheme and other than that they had no other external clues. The seats should have the 30th logo in them, but all the badges should be the same as a normal car of that year.

My camaro is an official 1997 Anniversary Z. It wont have any extra badging on the outside. But it does offer some little "paint" evidence. The top "roll Bar" is painted white on the coupe where the T-Tops plug into. And in the Front under thenose where the red chevrolet sign is will be white similar to a V-6 Looking front. The door handles will be white and the key circles will also be white. Other than the big orange stripes and Bright white seats there no other external indication.

Every 1997 is an official "Anniversary" car, only the Special Edition SS's were the true "rare" (in quotes because there were still a good amount of them) anniversary editions. They were all White with Hugger Orange racing stripes, 100 of which came with the LT4.

I did find out that this badging was not factory. They could be purchased at at dealer and they or the owner put them on the car as it seems, where ever you wanted them. The popular spot was on the nose at the Camaro emblem. I have seen other badging in 2 other places. Check out the link below. (You might have to copy and paste into your search engine) One on the nose and if you look close you can see more badging between the driver and passenger windows and the back window. Not fussy about the location myself.

Some corrections:

There were no special edition SS's in 97. All Special Editions 30th's, were all Z28's. SE's SS's did not come till the 35th's in 2002. And yes all 02's are also an official 35th Anniversay car as well.

From 95 to 97 I thought ALL V8's where LT4's?? I may be missing something

oH and no one here mentioned the other most external distinctive feature....the white rims!

A special edition that was available by SLP was a low-volume "30th Anniversary SS" with Artic White finish, white side mirrors, white door handles (rather than black as in all other models), bold Hugger Orange dual stripes on the hood, roof, deck lid and rear spoiler, white SS wheels, exterior SS emblems, a commemorative dash plaque, 2-key fobs and a premium quality car cover with locking cable and tote tag.

The 30th Anniversary SS option required Chevrolet options 1SJ, Z4C and AG1 on coupes and 1SM, Z4C and AG1 on convertibles. It came standard with a hurst 6-speed manual transmission.
I still stand by my statement that there were 30th Anniversary SS's, although I stand corrected, there were 30th Anniversary Z28's as well (option code Z4C)

I have to check but on my 30th anniversary, yes i am calling it a "special eddition" because it was sold with white rims and orange stipes. There was a anniversary appearance option for 3K in the price. And it looks different from a standard white 1997 Z-28. The seats are solid white up and down not with the black in the middle of them. Take a quick look at a white 1997 Z and it is different the the anniversary Z. I bet ebay has 2 listed right now so you can compare the to with out having to search. and mine has an LT1 in it.
