every time i start my car the idle never goes below 2000 rpm even when warmed up. I took out the IAC and cleaned it and it didn't make a difference. So i unplugged it and it still didn't do anything different, i'm wondering if it's bad?

 

Could be be bad IAC or associated wiring, or there is an air leak after the throttle body, or the butterflies in the throttle body aren't closing properly.

 

im not leaking air past the throttle body but is there any way to check if the IAC is bad?
