Default Automatic Transmission Problems.

Alright, I got a 1993 Camaro Z28..It's got a 700r4 transmission in it, Second gear will not engage unless its held full throttle, and when its full throttle it wont shift into drive until its below 2500 rpms. I'm thinking its the Torque Converter Lockout..I've replaced the Solenoid and 4th gear switch, but it still wont engage..What could be the problem?

It sounds like the t/v valve is stuck. Disconnect the cable from the throttle body and make sure it springs back. Next would be be the governor.

torque converter lock will not do anything but not let the converter lock. only locks in 3rd and 4th anyways. have you tried adjusting the tv cable? GM TV Cable Adjustment Instructions

if you think its a wiring thing umplug the 5 wire connector and see what happens.

I wonder if we'll get a reply

TV cables, when left alone tend not to go bad or out of adjustment.
