do you have any experience with doing a trans swap? it can be difficult to do. do you have the right tools/shop? what condition is your stock tranny in? how many miles, etc. daily driver? also, how many miles on the t56.

you have THE WHOLE transmission from your other car? meaning literally everything it took to make that car a 6 speed?

well i guess if you are willing to take some time and money to do it, then do it! it will be worth it in the end if you do it right

I agree. If you have what you need and a desire to do it, then get on it!

Someone told me the clutch in the 6 speeds can't take the torque for too long, especially if you miss a gear. So I'd be better off with an automatic. I actually listened to him and went with an automatic.

ATM, had to make a choice between a 6 speed LS1 and a automatic LT1. Going with the LT1 saved me 1500 bucks, but gave me a whole lotta trouble.

Good luck on the swap, honestly if you don't even know where to start this may not be a project you want to take on (unless you have a good amount of time). Make sure you have a tranny jack so you don't drop the transmission and crush yourself. Other than that, good luck on finding all the parts etc. I would start by pulling the auto
