Smile Any Suggestions

93 Lt-1. Stock. No MAF. Looking to start with cam and head work. Streetability is important. Looking for about 375-425 when all is done. (not just cam and heads). Can anyone tell me of their own experience and setup? Do I buy a custom burnt chip? Anything major i'm forgetting in this upcoming project? thanks for any info.

yes you will need a custom burnt chip according to the work you do.Before you go and jump into heads and a cam, what work have you done to the car so far ?

going with where ali was going...you need to have the proper supporting bolt-ons before you even consider a heads/cam swap...supporting mods being cold air intake, headers, y pipe, cat back, torque converter if auto, etc...

Hello everybody i have owned my 97 z28 for 7 years or so now and i am ready to get some more power. I was thinking the same thing as lucky with the head cam work. I am looking to get 400+ when all is said and done. I have a flowmaster muffler and cold air intake. What is my next step? keep in mind i am no mechanic. I am also on a budget maybee about 2000 for this year.
Thanks in advance

Your next step is going to be headers and a new Y-pipe. If you don't live in California everyone is going to recommend you purchase long tube headers. If you're looking for the best headers out there go for Kooks, if you're looking for a good, but easier on the wallet go for Dynatech, if you're looking for a pure budget header go Pacesetter (coated).
