Default air injection pump question

I'm intrested in removing my air injection pump from my 94 camaro LT1. Emissions is not an issue here in Hawaii, yet. Is there any significant gains when removing it. If so, what are the basic procedures, do's and don'ts in the process. Thanks for any replies.

Mike

There are no power gains by removing the AIR pump. It only runs for a few minutes during warm up. It's main purpose is to get the cat to light up quicker.

How does the car run without the fuel injection pump, I don't think it's gonna run without out!Should ask the mechanic though.

Talk about reviving a stale thread, and then not reading it. lol The thread is about removing the AIR injection pump, not the fuel injection pump.

I removed the AIR pump from my car too. Does that mean that it will get hot inside my car during the summer?
