Default AFR heads...

okay so i was just looking through the thousands of recipts that the previous owner who sold me my car collected... and i found a Air Flow Research Heads CNC ported - sticker in the mess. wow. is there any way to tell if these were actually installed in the car? also, can you guys give me any info on these things?

i have and there is so much stuff and its hard to find. is there an eye inspection i can do to tell them over stock? they list for around 1500 on the websites...

If you have AFR heads, you would see a Big AFR logo stamped into the front of them.

yup...AFR is a good brand for heads...but most people would never need an aftermarket head as the stock heads can be ported enough to meet most people's goals. now if we're talking a big cube stroker motor, then by all means the porting an aftermarket head is the way to go.

if i were you and i found that i did have AFR heads on my car...i'd find out as much as i could about exactly what they are and then i'd pull them and sell them and put stock ones back on. then you have some money to mess around with

ok its hrd to see the front of the heads. i tried to take good pictures, but idk where to look. im new to this camaro thing. i noticed in the first picture, in the middle of the pic, that it says "W2" in the on the right side of the motor (from the front). anything?Name:  100_1487.jpg

they should be right on the front fo the motor but to find out more you prob have to take off valve covers

If you pull the alternator you should be able to take a pic pretty easily/see the front of the motor.

Those heads are probably stamped on both ends. See what you can see on the back side with a mirror on the firewall.
