its actually stock with 285, I have a 96' Z as well, the list you have is a pretty good start. Definitely do exhaust; headers or cat-back, computer reprogrammer, upgrade the rear end gear. If its an automatic a stall kit would be a good upgrade, if its a stick put in a short throw shifter. Could always do a cam, but could be alot of work, I haven't been down that road yet. Either way good luck......

The stock throttle body is fine until you're making a good amount of HP, think of replacing it once you start going for internals, not just bolt ons. A new MAF will do nothing for you unless it has a larger diameter, so just get the housing and be done with it. The high pressure fuel regulator is useless unless you end up replacing injectors, in which case you better be pumping out some major ponies, again, think about it after you go internals. I agree with derrick, go with LT headers, a good matching Y pipe, good cat back(do this first if you have a limited budget).

Definately the first thing i would do if its manual is get a short shifter. Throttle body would probably be one of the last things i would do, as it wont do anything for your stock engine.
