95 Z28: No acceleration, sluggish, burning smell
I have a 95 Z28 with a little less than 149,000 miles on it. It is an everyday driver (or almost every day). Lately, I don't have the car back for more than a week and something else is wrong with it so off it goes to the shop again. So, here is everything I have had done lately...
Last October (2008), I replaced the battery, the ignition module and coil, vaccum hoses, and the serpentine belt.
In January 2009, I replaced the Alternator, Water Pump, Power Steering Pump, the Catalytic Converter, and put new shocks on my rear hatch.
In February 2009, I replaced the driver's side motor mount, rear intake gasket, front crank seal, all new spark plugs and plug wires, fuel injectors were cleaned, crack on passenger side radiator tank - replaced, intake manifold cleaned, radiator cap replaced.
March 2009, replaced optispark with new MSD opti.
Replaced fog lights and a hose (I had a coolant leak AGAIN after having my car back for 2 days.)
Somewhere between January and April my A/C stopped blowing cold air - not sure when since it was winter and since I have only had my car for about a total of 3 weeks (maybe) since Jan. 1 , 2009.
April 2009, after having the car back for less than a week, it started dying randomly, so, I had the ECM (? are those the correct letters?) replaced and had the computer flashed. Car ran awesome for about a week, and today I could barely make a 20ish mile trip to my mothers house. My mechanic is on his way to pick it up AGAIN as I type this.
Here's what it's doing now: The car wouldn't hardly accelerate. The further I drove, the worse it got. It smelled like burning under the hood once I got here to my mom's house, however, all the gauges are normal and there are no leaks under the car. By the time I got here from my apartment (about 20 miles) I had my hazards on and felt like I could go no faster than about 20mph or so.
I am at a COMPLETE loss. I have NO more money to spend (the above listed repairs have already cost me about $4000) but I have to have a car and I'm in this far already.
Does anyone have any ideas? If you need any more info, let me know.
Thanks in advance.

water temp was ok so it could have been residual oil burning off. r u handy with tools u could have saved over halve doing ur self. most that was done were easy. when did u last get a new fuel filter. test fuel pressure.

I WISH I had the tools, believe me! I would have been happy to have studied up and done it myself! Unfortunately, I don't though and I live in an apartment, which doesn't give me a place to work on it either.
And the SES light is NOT on...
Good to know about the ECM...I'm going to need to look into that one. Argh!
Thanks for the replies everyone.
