RE: 95 Camaro Street Project
the second link - go to gmpartsdirect.com and search for GM PART # pk12550630 .
So, You think I should get the ....
-- LT4 Hot Cam kit,
-- A new crank (maybe the Crank: Eagle cast steel, internally balanced from the Golen kit??),
-- Long Tube headers,
-- High Flow cats and I would add new mufflers anyway (my friend told me an LT1 runs better WITH cats due to the O2 sensor
getting screwy w/o it, is that true??),
-- PCM tune,
-- And a LT4 Knock module (whats that?)
-- Then have the LT1 Heads and Intake ported and polished (sound good?)
.... if I want to run all engine. This should get me about 440hp or so?

RE: 95 Camaro Street Project
Take a look at the Lloyd Elliott cam & head kit. Lot cheaper than going the LT4 route and getting the same or more power.

RE: 95 Camaro Street Project
A '95 Camaro won't have 02 sensors after the cat because it isn't OBDII, but that means to pass emissions you have to pass the full up exhuast"hook the tubes up to your car" test, so without cats your skrewed. The Golen thing isn't a "kit" that you purchase and assemble yourself, you actually buy the motor from them, so for the crank you can just buy an Eagle crank and have it balanced, to my knowledge you can't buy any individual parts from Golen(but it wouldn't hurt to ask if you wanted to order from them...). As for the LT4 knock module, it replaces the LT1 module and helps the computer decifer between when them motor is haveing spark knock issues and when it's just engine noise. If you keep the LT1 module the motor will sense a good amount of false knocks from the louder rockers and the headers, and it will retard the timing to try and elminate those, and that means you loose power.

RE: 95 Camaro Street Project
So, I took a look at the camaro today and brought along one of my buddies. He looked it over and said good deal.
So, the LE3 package here -http://www.eportworks.com/LT1LE3.htm - would include what? It says
Heads & cam package will pull from 2,600 – 6,800 RPM and should make *410 to 430 RWHP with 36/42 lb. injectors, 58 MM T.B. or Monoblade, GOOD tuning, etc. This will idle similar to the GM847 but make about 10 more HP at peak and starts making HP sooner than the GM847. Requires 4.10 gears & 3,000 (or more) stall for best results.
LE3 Heads consist of:
Larger valve seats installed in Heads
2.05/1.60 Valves
Comp Bee Hive Springs
Titanium Retainers & 10° Locks
208 CC Intake Port
Milling
Cleaning
Assembly
Flow About 280/195
Ready To Bolt On
cm retainers & 10 degrees locks
Bronzeliners
Ok.... so, why doesn't it list a cam?? What would I need to add to go along with this package to make the 420rwhp is claims? The 4.10 gears & 3,000RPM stall conv. and what? Anything else? Cause that kit is only $2050 so I would have... $1950 left. Then subtract stall converter, tune, and 4.10 gears would be about $1000, right? Would a a new crank, LT Headers, and Ported + polished intake make more Hp than 420?
