Default '94 z28 seems rich

Hello, I just bought this car about 2 weeks ago and to me, its running really rich.. blowing out a gray/bluish smoke when you give it gas.

Any opinions on this? I've ran a can of seafoam through the induction/oil and a full tank with B12.

Blue smoke is usually an indication of the car burning oil (probably pushing oil past the rings), not a rich mixture. Does the car smell rich or is it just the smoke?

It smells pretty rich. When i get on it a puff of smoke comes out the back and when it revs down, the smoke is thicker. Kinda weird to me. My girlfriend just told me that she can't see a tint of blue in the smoke, just white/gray. I put my hands behind the exhaust tips and it just smells like gas :\ As much as I hate to say it.. I'm thinking it might be the valves seals. Whats that kind of repair bill look like?

Valve seals do not make an engine run rich. Bad valve seals allow oil into the combustion chamber and cause smoke, especially when decelerating.

How expensive of a fix is this?

First of all you need to know what exactly is causing your problem, and then decide if you want to fix it. But, to answer your question, seals are cheap, and labor would be most of the cost. The gray white smoke is more of an indication of coolant entering the combustion chamber than oil burning. have a service shop test the coolant for presence of combustion gases.

Could this be a bad piston ring?

First you need to determine whether the smoke is white/grey or blue, are you losing coolant? Are you losing oil?

Not losing any coolant. As far as oil, I'll have to get back to ya on that. Just did an oil change yesterday.
