Default 94 z28 random miss and backfire

I have a 1994 z28 6-spd with the mods in my sig. The car was running like a champ but every morning when i went to crank it up the battery was dead, so i went to autozone and bought a new battery. After it got switched out, i went to drive it home and it was missing. Whenever i let off the petal if backfires one time, always just once. I cant figure out what i did....the only thing i can think of is, i had the MAF unplugged when i switched out the battery. I've tried running it with the sensor plugged in and unplugged...no luck. The only other thing i can think of is, im missing the oxygen sensor off of my passenger side header. Would that effect anything? thx in advance!

when the battery went dead it cleared the computer of all the adjustments it had in memory. it may have adjusted to the missing sensor and now its not. could be sending to much fuel to that side and its igniting and u get the backfire. u should have a ses light and some trouble codes stored that would help. i wonder if it messed with the tune.
