Default 94 z28 problem

This car seems to be missing and sometimes doesent want to take off right and really bogs down. I will be sitting at a stoplight and it will just shut off. But sometimes it is fine. I just bought the car and am not sure if the stock plugs and wires are still in it. Could plugs and wires be the problem? Or could it be something else?

If You Know Nothing Of How Long It's Been Since The Motor Was Serviced ... I Would First Change The The Plugs, Wires, Rotary, Distributor Cap, Air, Oil, And Fuel Filter Then Go From There. Someone Could Do Alot Of Guessing On That Problem, But It Would Be Best To Have A Base Line To Work With. Sick

Give it a good tune up as mentioned above. If it still runs bad, then you may have to take a look at the optispark and fuel injection. Is the Check engine lite lit??

On my car 94 z28 stock when it was, it ended up being the optical sensor in the distributor.

That might be the problem because the heat in some places can cause condensation in it and it will short out. The only happened in the LT1's before 1996 when the distributor didn't have a vacume on it to keep it dry.

you might want to check your fuel pressure also. I have a 94 z28 and I had a problem that was about the same as yours and my fuel psi was at about 18-20. it is supposed to be 41-47 psi. i changed the pump and my car breathed a new life and boy was she pissed off.
