Default 93Z Help With Bracket Racing!!!!!

Alright so i bought my fiance a 93Z a couple months ago that was in rough shape (appearance wise). we cleaned it up threw some new paint on it and it looks great! Ok now about the mechanicals of the car. It has a stock LT1 in it with a CAI/flowmaster Catback. Brand new tranny with a shift kit, brand new rear end with 4:10's, and also brand new rear suspension (all stock but its all new). Nitto 555r's in the rear.

First time trial it'll run a 14.2X, then itll jump up to a 14.5X, then first round itll go a 14.8X. I couldnt figure it out at all. I have a 94Z M6 and it still wasnt that inconsistent.

We took it out this past sunday where the wait in between rounds was longer so itd have more time to cool down and it worked!! running a 14.5X consistently 3 times in a row.

I dont know much about the 93's but i know they were built differently than the 94's computer wise.

anyone know of any other way to make this thing consistent computer/chip wise or anything else???

please help, shes a 2 time track champion and is getting extremely discouraged with the new car.

or pcmforless Order Tuning - Select Vehicle i would recomend heads be done, lloyd elliott is one of the best. http://www.elliottsportworks.com/ and some good long tub headers. is she losin any traction at the holeshot, what stall are you using and what was done to trans besides shift kit, be a good idea to switch to hp servo, this place has some good stuff/info 700R4 Performance Transmission from PATC, 700 Raptor 700R4 i have a level 3 raptor

the 93 has a 700r4? as far as i know the tranny was just rebuilt back to stock and a shift kit was installed. it was already done when we got it and the guy had receipts. Its mainly a track car now but she wants to put it on the road someday. As far as performance mods im all over that i just don't know anything about the computer electrical system on the 93. What is a chip burner? is the chip part of the pcm or do you have to buy the chip and its already tuned? Shes just looking to run low 13's maybe high 12's nothing crazy. As far as heads, cam, headers, ect. im all over that. I was just wondering if you knew anything that would make it more consistent. not looking to make it go faster as of yet.

solomon would be the man. he tuned mine. the 93 has a similar computer as a 2nd gen camaro you can buy a chip thats pre tuned to compliment your mods and yes it has a 700r4 they changed the name to 4l60. no e. 93 has a one year trans, at least thats how i see it, they have a round 5 pin plug for the electronic info to lock the clutch. only year camaro to have it. moatts has a setup to burn the chip

Well right now it has an exhaust manifold leak and I think thats why its being so inconsistent. I think what I am going to do for now is get a set of longtubes for her and see how that goes and then maybe next year go with head and cam swap and a tune and see where that gets us.

its just weird with her car lol i have my 94 and i just hook up my laptop and tune it to how i want it lol.

i guess well see lol thanks a lot for the info, if I have any other questions about the 93 ill pm you

when you buy a tune solomon will retune once for free if you send him the chip. he also has adld cable that he will loan to you and send you the tune and you reburn.
