Default 93 z28 has a few issues.... help??

hey guys im new on the site i just bought my first camaro it a 93 z28 it has hooker long tube headers and aftermarket y pipe and i think a flow master, posi and a shift kit, and k&n air so here are my problems it will not start unless you pump the gas also the cel light comes on on the highway i think that is o2 sensor because it is a gas hog!also it will just die sometimes while driving and you have to kick the panel down by your foot and it will start back up.... well if anybody has any suggestions id greatly appriciate it

That doesn't make much sense, pumping the gas makes no difference with a fuel injected engine.
There is a fuse block on the left side of the dash panel but I don't think there is anything ignition related in there,
Maybe you have a fuel pump issue besides the 02 sensor problem.
Sorry not much help I know,I just bought a '93 last month but it is pretty much stock.
The dieing problem is more likely the optispark distributor (dizzy),if you have a coolant leak it could be getting the dizzy wet or it may just be time for a new one, pretty common problem with these cars I have found out.
Do a search "optispark" on this site and you will see.

Under the panel that you are kicking is the fuel pump relay. Apparently the relay is getting stuck and the kicking makes it work again. Try changing the relay under the panel, you need to lift the carpet and the foot rest under the carpet to reach the relay.

Learn something every day here, that's good to know.
So I may have been on the right track with the fuelpump issue.

Helpful stickies and in any sort of thread that needs his amazing wisdom of the electronic layout of the car...98% sure he's a robot, but a helpful one, not a war robot, so he can stay.

hey guys thanks for the responses i did figure out what was going on with the fuel pump the relay was stuck under the foot rest and it was cutting into the wires so i fixed that and as for having to push the gas to make it start im thinking that may be because all the emissions where removed? and a egr block off was installed.... n-e way i also have another question my temp gauge doesnt work the sensor is there and i found a plug but it only has 1 wire coming into it and it's green i think there should be 2 wires because its a 2 prong sensor any ideas?? is the other just a ground i could make myself?? thanks in advance!!
