93' 383 Stroker
Looking into stroking my 93' Z. Motor is already out of the and torn down to block and ready to sent out to be bored and stroked. My questions are as follows,
Whats a good stroker kit to get?
What is a cam to run with setup?
What heads should I run?
My goal with the car is a weekend cruiser, aiming for about 500hp to the wheels give or take. any suggestions will be great, thanks.

it depends on what you want to do you can get a really nice eagle rotating assembly but its going to run you somewhere around 2000-2500$ or you could go with a scat assembly which is about 1000$ but still a good product
as for the cam i have no idea (im really bad when it come to cams)
as for the heads id get a hold of lloyd elliot and get some LE2 heads

got a few more questions, I was also looking into doing a turbo 383 build, would the elliot heads works for a turbo set up? same with the pistons that come in the eagle stroker kit, or would I need different pistons? I plan on having a custom ground cam from elliot for which ever setup i plan on running.
Also I forgot to ask what injectors would be a good choice to run, options for both setups.

$$ is not an issue, Im not gonna skimp out on things. whatever is gonna be best for power. If its just a 383 im aiming for 450-500hp if its a turbo 383 im aiming for upwards of 600hp. So which ever is best for both setups. Im leaning more towards the turbo setup but Im not sure what parts I need different.

You are really all over the place, You need to do more research. You are talking about redesigning an engine. Its not something a first timers should without a ton of research. Since the LT1 is not new in any way there are hundreds of build threads covering a decade worth of parts. You can follow along these threads and see results where mistakes were made and where good combination shinned.
Anything over 450 RWHP you going to have to address every single part of the drivetrain. We are talking fuel lines, cooling system, the entire driveline. Nothing that came from GM is going to be dependable/useable. To hit 600 dependable HP I would guess your in the 25-30K area.
383 Turbo does not make a lot of sense. The 383 have been around for a long time is SBC world. It is mostly for budgeted mind people to get low end torque and is a great setup for under 7000 RPMs. When combind with high compression is can snap your neck at 4500 RPMs. It is a great drag racing motor. Now a turbo is a high RPM low compression thing. You would be much better off with a 302 Turbo at 8700 RPMs. Now I am not saying you can not make a Turbo/383 work but I would ask what are you going for? Now a 383/Supercharger is a combination that would make more sense to me. But again research. You need to find a clear realalistic goals and work to them. If 30K does not scare you I would ask are you sure your even looking at the right platform? IMO the LS1 would be a better starting point.

Very well put Gorn.
My 383 was professionally build before i got it. And there isnt any GM stock parts left except the rearend...and thats a different story. In the engine alone including all machine work, they had 14,000 under the hood. I could never bring myself to spend that......but then thats not counting the 12 bolt that was in it, custom 6 speed/clutch, fuel system.
Now the engine I built and traded toward that car was a fresh 383, and i only had about 3000.00 in the motor. It was a nice street/ strip motor. Pushed my old s10 into the high 11's. I was pleased. At a local machine shop theres a sign that read; "How Fast you want to go? How much $ do you have."
