to whomever may have the knowledge here on this i will greatly appreciate your wisdom: my 1997 z28 brake light on passenger side does not go on when i step on my brake pedal, only the drivers side brightens up. although both taillights do work when i turn them on. also when key is not in ignition and i step on the brake pedal in park both brake lights work, and bulb is not burnt, actually new.iam confused, can someone PLEASE help?

 

Check the bulbs again. The bulbs have double filaments and sometimes one of the filaments breaks and shorts against the other, causing all sorts of strange conditions.

 

look over the wires on that lite as best u can and see if something is messing with em could be a amp wire or something like that that shorts it when the key is turned on. only other thing i can think of is a relay but dont know if theres one thats got that light in the works.
