just because the pump comes on does not mean its getting fuel. did u check all your fuses inside the car and under the hood? how old is the opti? what kind of opti and where did it come from? need to find out if its fuel or spark thats missing. u can find an old spark plug and pull a plug wire off one of the plugs and put it on there, hold the plug up to a ground and have the car turned over while u look for spark, can also stick a screwdriver in the end of the plug wire, hold it close to a ground like the exhaust manifold and have someone turn the motor over for u. should have a spark from the screwdriver to the ground. squirt some gas into the tb and see if it starts. clean out an old windex bottle and put some gas in it, take air cleaner hose off at the tb and squirt some gas in it, replace the hose and try to start the car. it may just sputter and try to start. some of the guys use starting fluid but its not good for a gas motor.
