I'm trying to do a few inexpensive upgrades to my LT1 and I just want to know what's been tried and what works. I already have a K&N cold air intake and a flow master rear exhaust. I was thinkin about the air foil insert for the throttle body, the B&M shift kit upgrade, and a tranny cooler. I just want to know how difficult these are to install and if I'll notice improvement. Any advice would be appriciated. thanks

The airfoil isn't going to get you any substantial gain in HP, don't waste your money. The shift kit could potentially get you some performance gains. Really if you're looking for more performance upgrades you're starting to get into slightly more serious territory. You should start thinking about a set of long tube headers and a Y-pipe and maybe consider new rear end gears if you have some extra money for gas.

 

Right on, would the stock tune work with the headers and full exhaust upgrade?? I saw...well heard your exhaust, sounds pretty sick. What mods do u have?
