Default X-Pipe or Cat Back

The title says it best which would be best an X-pipe without cats or a full cat back with higher flowing cats?

Probably about the same, except that to use a X pipe you need full duals, which can be done, but a lot of pain.

On a LS1, redo the entire exhaust from the cats on out. Go to a good exhaust specialist and open your wallet wide.

Well heres my thing I got the long tube headers and I've seen a x-pipe kit from headers back (without cats which is what I'm going with) go for about $350. My question is what would really offer peak gains a Catless x-pipe or the catback.

ps I don't plain on running the x-pipe all the way back I just want it dumped underneath the car

The no cat X pipe set up should result in more power. If you want a strong engine, do not rely only on peak power, you want to make good power throughout the RPM range.

Be sure to check your local inspection laws. I went to get my 94 Z28 inspected and the guy looked under the car to make sure I still had cats installed. He informed me that in Texas that would cause the vehicle to fail inspection.
