JD1969...do you have anything to say about what it takes to beat a vette? Weather it be a C4, C5, C6. Or what ever...

C4's are no match for a stock LS1 f-body (unless it's a ZR1 or a 96 LT4) assumeing the Vette is stock. An LS1 Camaro will need a few bolt ons to take a C5, a lid, gears and headers will be enough to really lay the smack down on one. A C6, you will need at least full bolt ons and maybe a cam. This all assumes that the Vettes are stock and traction is not an issue.

The 'Vette and Camaro are still both Chevys, remember. Beat up the Mustangs and such. The Chevys have the same engines for the most part so a 'Vette and Camaro can be modified exactly the same. It's going to be based on who's lighter, Geared better and so on.

Every 100 pounds is worth a 0.10 (tenth) not a (hundredth), think that was a typo. Besides you would want to take weight off the front before the rear. Easiest way to beat or better your odds and cheapest, "nitrous and drag radials / dot slicks".

Not exactly, I talked to SLP about this, and due to the placement of the intake on the hood, after you get up to higher speeds, the air more bounces over the hood, and doesn't uptake as well, hence the under-body CAI that SLP offers...

So your telling me that the Ram Air effect these cars have serve no point what-so-ever? I've been told that this ram air add additional hp but only past a certin mph? Now you being the LS1 guy that you say you are does this cause an increase or no?
Any benifit would be after at least 100 mph and even then it's only going a couple of hp. I am going by what I have seen on dynos and at the track. The ram air looks good but is really of almost zero performance benefit. GM did a good job marketing these cars and lots of people want to beleive that the SS and WS6 cars make more hp but they don't.
